This version is a maintenance release of the stable serie correcting some bugs which may lead to data loss. Updating to this version is highly recommended.

Libgda 4.0.6 and 4.1.4
Versions 4.0.6 and 4.1.4 of Libgda have been released.
The 4.0.6 version is a maintenance release of the stable serie while the 4.1.4 now features a mostly stable API and can be considered as a beta version for the upcoming 4.2 version.
The 4.1.4 version's main features are:
- a new "Web" database provider to access a database through a web server (which must be configured for the purpose)
- initial support for GObject Introspection which allows to very easily use Libgda from the many languages for which GObject introspection libraries exist
- index information in meta data
many improvements to the GdaBrowser tool

Versions 4.0.5 and 4.1.3 of Libgda have been released.
The 4.0.5 version is a maintenance release of the stable serie while the 4.1.3 must be considered unstable and will lead to a 4.2 version which will be API and ABI compatible with the current 4.0 versions.
The GdaBrowser tool in version 4.1.3 has had many bugs corrected, and blobs are now better supported.

Versions 4.0.3 and 4.1.1 of Libgda have been released.
The 4.0.3 version is a maintenance release of the stable serie while the 4.1.1 must be considered unstable and will lead to a 4.2 version which will be API and ABI compatible with the current 4.0 versions.
The development version include several new features such as:
- a GTK+ based UI extension which provides several data bound widgets
- some graphical programs to administer data sources and "browse" a database
- a new Oracle provider
- some new objects

Libgda version 4.0.0 has been released. This is the new stable release which future versions will improve and extend.
Starting from this version, Windows binaries will be released any time a new version is released, with hopefully MacOS binaries in a short future as well.

For Libgda, many bugs have been fixed, and the API has changed a little due to cleanups.
For Libgnomedb, this version contains adaptations to Libgda's API changes and a few corrections.

A new page for downloads which are not sources has been set up at http://www.gnome.org/~vivien/, it contains MS Windows binaries and the current snapshot of Libgda's documentation as a PDF file (400+ pages).

Libgda 3.99.4
Libgda version 3.99.4 has been released. It features lots of bug fixes, partial multi-threading support (connections can for example be used by several threads at once), and major API cleanups. The API is now considered almost stable (a few modifications are still expected) and the next version will have a stable API.

Libgda & Libgnomedb 3.99.3
Libgda and Libgnomedb version 3.99.3 have been released.
For Libgda, this version has seen many bug have been fixed, artially supports multi threading and upports distributed transactions. The MySQL provider has also received some work.
For Libgnomedb, this version is the first adapted to use the new Libgda API.

Libgda version 3.99.2 has been released. This version only brings some corrections (mainly compilation related) compared to 3.99.1. The documentation has also slightly been modified (still available as PDF).

Libgda 3.99.1
Libgda version 3.99.1 has been released. This version is a major rework of the library's internals to correct the conception errors that were made with previous versions; it also aims at having a smaller yet more powerfull and easier to understand API, and to close some long standing bugs.
Sources are available at http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/libgda/3.99/ (this version can be installed alongside with any previous version); the PDF version of the documentation has been updated and is still available.
